Bridging the Gap Between Nutritional Science and Culinary Arts
Presented by: The Helderleigh Foundation
Join academic professionals, dietitians, culinary experts, and industry leaders for an interactive day filled with discussions, workshops and presentations. This symposium will focus on nutrition in theory and practice, examining the gaps and opportunities that exist between research, education, nutrition, diet, and culinary arts. We will be joined in our panel discussions by a host of additional experts.
Keynote Speaker
Our Keynote Speaker will be Michael Moss, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and the author of Salt Sugar Fat: How the Food Giants Hooked Us, a #1 New York Times best seller. His writing focuses on the food industry in context of health, safety, nutrition, politics, marketing, corporate interests, and, finally, the power of individuals to gain control of what and how they eat. Conference attendees will get a chance to ask questions and engage with Michael Moss — the discussion will be lively.
