Trending NOW Dinner with Chef Ivana Raca
We welcome Chef Ivana Raca to The Chefs' House, an aspiring leader within the Toronto culinary scene.
At age seventeen she took her first restaurant job in the kitchen at North 44. Just three years later, chef Mark McEwan made her his first female saucier. The trend continued — Ivana went on to serve as the sous chef for the launch of ONE Restaurant; and at age 24 she became the first female executive chef at the $6 million McEwan Foods food emporium. Shortly after, she traveled to Australia for two years, where she worked for Paul Froggatt, a Michelin 2-star chef in the Palazzo Versace.
Now, at 30, Ivana has opened her first restaurant called "Raca café and bar". This past fall she was awarded 3 stars from Toronto Life magazine, and has been featured on the the cover of Where Toronto magazine. Look out for a lot more exciting things to come from Chef Raca this year.
