ABOUT ABOUT

Uncork Ontario – Winter Wine Tour

Niagara Area
February 20, 2016

Join us for an unforgettable day wining and dining at some of the most renowned wineries in Ontario. Michael Fagan, former columnist at the LCBO’s Food & Drink magazine will be your expert tour guide as we dive deep into the world of wine production.

Our first stop will focus on the production of the prestigious Henry of Pelham’s Cuvée Catharinen, a hand-picked, bottle-fermented sparkling wine named after the family matriarch Catharine Smith. Their winemaker will walk us through the production of their elegant Brut, Rose Brut and Blanc de Blanc sparkling wines. We will indulge in a tasting after the tour.

The next stop will be Niagara's newest premium winery, Two Sisters Vineyards, where we will engage in a love affair with great wine and food. We will first enjoy a three-course lunch at their luxurious Kitchen 76 restaurant, and then a tour and tasting exploring Bordeaux-style red wines with winemaker Adam Pearce.

We will finish our Winter Wine Tour at Strewn Winery, where we will enjoy a variety of their Icewines in a private tasting, accompanied by a light dinner of cheese, charcuterie and artisanal breads.

This is the ultimate gift for the food and wine lover in your life!
