Culinary Cities of the World returns to the Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts at George Brown College, presented in co-operation with The Chefs’ House. Our next celebration of international cuisine will feature the Philippines. Filipino cuisine has evolved over many centuries, to include Malaysian, Indian, Spanish, Chinese, and American influences, as well as other Asian Indian cuisine adapted to indigenous ingredients and the local palate.

About Chef Myrna Dizon Segismundo

Chef Myrna Dizon Segismundo advocates the preservation of traditional Filipino cooking and has spread the flavors of her country’s cuisine through food festivals in 5-star hotels both in the Philippines and abroad, as well as through her research, her writings and her support of organizations that have the same goal. Segismundo constantly experiments with ways to improve preparation techniques and presentation so that Filipino cuisine can gain the international attention it deserves.
