ABOUT ABOUT

Connect the Rocks: An Exploration of Napa Valley’s Terroir

Join moderator Sara D’Amato, a well-rounded sommelier, for an in-depth tasting of Napa Valley wines and discussion of the technical aspects of the region's terroir.

Napa Valley's unique geography and geologic history make it one of the most diverse winegrowing regions in the world, possessing half of the world's 12 recognized soil orders and 33 unique soil series – almost all of which are ideal for quality winegrowing. The region's soils diversity, combined with its diverse differing climatic climactic conditions, offer winemakers the opportunity to make wines in an array of styles.

Join us as we explore the effects of terroir on the iconic wines from: Darioush, Shafer Vineyards, Heitz Wine Cellars, Signorello Estate, Trefethen Family Vineyards, Y. Rousseau Wines and Young Inglewood Vineyards.

Thanks to the generous support and sponsorship of Napa Valley Vintners, we are able to offer this seminar for only $65 per guest.
