ABOUT ABOUT

"Pound for pound, he is one of the best chefs on earth."—David Chang on Benu's Corey Lee. Corey Lee is chef and owner of 3-Michelin starred restaurant Benu in San Francisco, which has been one of America’s  premiere dining destinations since 2010. His career has spanned nearly 20 years at some of the most acclaimed restaurants in the world, including a tenure as head chef at The French Laundry. His unique cuisine, which blends his South Korean heritage and his United States upbringing, has won a James Beard Foundation Award. In honour of his work he has been officially recognised as a goodwill ambassador for Seoul, Korea.

Join us for a special evening led by a conversation with two of the world’s most exciting chefs—David Chang and Corey Lee. David Chang is the chef-founder of the Momofuku restaurant group, which includes restaurants in New York City, Sydney, and Toronto as well as a best-selling cookbook and print journal called Lucky Peach. He has won five James Beard Foundation Awards and Momofuko Ko in New York was been awarded two Michelin stars.

Our In Conversation event is a rare opportunity to listen to these two close friends and contemporaries together. Following the discussion, there will be a wine & food reception catered by David Chang’s Momofuku Toronto, and Corey Lee will sign copies of his new cookbook, Benu.

Watch this YouTube video to see Chef Corey Lee discuss his restaurant and his new cookbook.
