Winter is the season Canadians know best! Celebrate this time of year with us, by joining us on Saturday January 23, 2016, for an extravagant day exploring all things Icewine. Michael Fagan, former columnist at the LCBO’s Food & Drink Magazine, will be your expert tour guide and give you an insider's perspective of some of the most prominent Icewine destinations in Niagara. Along the way we will have plenty of opportunities to purchase some of Ontario's finest Icewines.
The adventure will begin at Southbrook Vineyards, where we'll discuss biodynamic agriculture with the producers of Canada's first biodynamic Icewine. Ann Sperling, Director of Winemaking and Viticulture, and Paul DeCampo, Director of Marketing and Sales and former leader of Slow Food Toronto will be our guides. A three-course lunch will be served, featuring lamb ranched on the vineyard. Our next stop will be the 2016 Niagara-on-the-Lake Icewine Festival. With our VIP passes, we'll skip the line-up and go directly to indulging in the sights, sounds and flavours of Ontario’s biggest winter wine event. Lastly, we'll head to Stratus Vineyards to warm our noses and toes, and to learn about some of the most innovative Icewines in the world. We'll tour the facilities with one of their sommeliers, and learn about the characterstics that distinguish red Icewines from white Icewines. We'll enjoy a private tasting of food and wine pairings and then head home, laden with our finds.

Ultimate Icewine Tour Schedule:
- 8:00 a.m: Arrive at George Brown College’s St. James Campus (300 Adelaide St. East) to check in and enjoy coffee and breakfast snacks made by our students
- 8:30 a.m: Begin the adventure as we travel to the Southbrook Vineyards
- 10:30 a.m: Tour, guided wine tasting, and 3 course lunch
- 1:30 p.m: Travel to the 2016 Niagara-on-the-Lake Icewine Festival and get a VIP pass to the biggest wine event of the winter
- 4:00 p.m: Head to Stratus Vineyards and tour, followed by a guided tasting and light dinner
- 6:00 p.m.: Head back to George Brown College’s St. James Campus (300 Adelaide St. East)
- 8:00 p.m: Approximate arrival time
